Equipment for hydrogen peroxide

The equipment required to detoxify cyanide with hydrogen peroxide is

• a storage system for peroxide
• dosing pumps (peroxide, possibly one for copper)
• a method to mix the effluent with the chemicals
• a system to allow residence time
• pH adjustment prior to discharge if required

Equipment for Caro’s acid

In case of use of Caro’s acid, the following elements must be added

• a storage system for the sulphuric acid
• a storage system for alkali
• dosing pumps for sulphuric acid and alkali
• higher level of safety devices
